I received the Academic Excellence Award from UCSB's Honors Program, and graduated with a 3.81 GPA. Prior to transferring to UCSB, I attended Moorpark College. I graduated in May of 2015 with an AA-T (an AA for Transfer) in HIstory. I graduated with a 4.0 GPA and was on the Dean's List every semester that I attended.
Experience
I am currently working for a college access company creating materials for ACT/SAT prep and general study skills. I have also done private, one on one tutoring in the past for students in various college-level courses, as well as tutoring them in general research and writing skills. I scored a 32 on the ACT. For my AP courses, I scored a 4 on AP Biology, a 5 on AP US Government, a 4 on AP US History, and a 5 on AP English Literature. Education is my passion. I am currently preparing to apply for graduate school to get my PhD in English Literature so that I can eventually become an English teacher at the college/university level.

Hobbies
I love literature in all of its forms - from poetry to music to books to film scripts, I love the nuances of language and I really love fiction. This is not to say that I am picky about the things I watch - while I do love Shakespeare and classic films such as Princess Bride, I am also happy to watch reality television and listen to pop (I am unashamed to say that I am a big One Direction fan). I love, love, love musicals and am very much into theater - I don't perform anymore, but I always love to go see a good show. I love animals - I currently have two dogs, but I absolutely adore all animals from the slithery and scaly ones to the furry and four-legged ones. Much of my time beyond work and my furry babies (my dogs), I spend much of my time making art and doing crafts. I love doing watercolors, writing sonnets, and making costumes for my Disneyland adventures.
