I am currently a Senior at California State University Channel Islands working on my Bachelors in Liberal Arts: Teaching and Learning with a focus in Math. I maintain a 3.5 GPA there while continuously challenging myself in my focus subject of Math. Though it may not be the best for my on paper GPA, it has greatly enhanced my knowledge of the subject and has helped me opened new doors in better approaching and teaching the material.
Experience
I tutored elementary and Jr. High students for multiple years, as well as working at an after-school club where I tutored every grade level form kindergarten to 8th grade in every subject. I want to be a tutor because it will help me increasing and hone my teaching techniques as well as helping me gain a firmer grasp of my focus subject of math. Also and more importantly, I hope to encourage and inspire students to give math another shot, and see the benefits and importance of it throughout their everyday lives and how math can help them achieve gibber and better things.
